About Hydra Movement

Small in number. Serious in craft.

Brunswick West’s strength & movement cell, bound by one philosophy: to bring out your personal best.

Our Philosophy

We follow a movement philosophy.

Just like the lore, at Hydra we look to empower you with the knowledge to reach the peak of your health — and maintain it for years to come. We help you understand your body and use it in new ways: teaching you to handstand, build upper-body strength and lift weights.

Our classes look nothing like pilates, body-pump or bootcamp. Small classes mean we tailor everything to each student’s needs. You’ll push your limits in new and fun ways while we look after you — so you come away not with injuries, but feeling more in tune with yourself.

Questions? Answers.

Who can train with us?
Everyone. All ages and fitness levels are welcome — our small, coached classes are tailored to each person, so you’re always working at the right level for you.
How is Hydra different?
Our classes look nothing like pilates, body-pump or bootcamp. Small, coached groups focused on strength, gymnastics and real movement skill — tailored to you, so you progress safely and have fun doing it.
What hours can I come in to train?
Check the timetable for current class times. Members also get Open Gym access to train on their own schedule.
Do you have showers and parking?
Yes — showers are available on site, and there’s parking nearby so getting in for a session is easy.
Is there a sign-on fee?
No. There are no joining or sign-on fees — you only pay for your membership.
How long until I see results?
Most members who train consistently notice changes within the first few weeks — in strength, mobility and how they feel day to day.
Will I get bulky from weightlifting?
No. Weightlifting builds strength, control and mobility. You set your goals and we program toward them — you stay in the driver’s seat.
Can I come in and try a class first?
Absolutely — your first session is completely free. Come meet the team and see if Hydra is right for you, no pressure.
